Following the successful series of evening services last year we’re going to expand our Sunday evening worship at St John’s to twice a month - usually on the first and third Sundays. This is to give a wider variety of people and groups the opportunity to play a part in the prayer life of St John’s. Sometimes evening worship will be more formal, sometimes it will be more informal, sometimes in St John’s main church, sometimes in the St Peter’s chapel.... To give some idea, here’s the programme for this calendar year:

• 5th November (Advent -4) IW: Elaine Noonan

• 19th November (Advent -2: also St Hilda of Whitby) DP Gwen & Dorothy’s housegroup

• 3rd December - (Advent Sunday) Advent Carols

• 17th December - Christmas Carols
